摘要
审美人类学是在西方后现代主义文化背景下产生的一门新学科,它游走于美学和人类学的交叉地带,并在此背景的影响下呈现出明显的后现代主义特色:反对单一的视觉审美,主张回归"美学"的词源学意义,重视人的多种感官的审美研究;反对对艺术和美作本体论的追索,重视日常生活中各种审美现象和事件的生发机制及过程的研究;主张通过并置和比较不同族群、不同社会的审美经验,展示审美文化的多样性;反对艺术和审美研究中的"向后看"的传统,主张对当代鲜活的审美文化(如都市审美文化和传媒文化等)进行探究。
Aesthetic anthropology is a new subject developing in the influence of western post-modernism culture. Aesthetic anthropological research concerns both aesthetics and anthropology, and it shows outstanding postmodern characteristics. Firstly, it goes against single visual aesthetics and attaches great importance to multisensory aesthetics study which is the etymological connotation of the word aesthetics. Secondly, it turns away from definition of artistic and aesthetic ontology to exploration of innate mechanism of various kinds of aesthetic phenomenon in daily life. Thirdly, it shows the diversity of aesthetic culture through juxtaposition and comparing the aesthetic experience in different ethnic groups and societies. At last, it opposes the tradition to "look back" in the arts and aesthetics study, claiming that scholars should study the living aesthetic culture in the modern times, such as the urban aesthetic culture and media culture.
