摘要
为了转变民众对图书馆的印象,美国图书馆协会发起了一场名为"The Libraries Transform Campaign"的运动。文章以该运动为研究对象,在介绍其目标和开展情况的基础上,归纳出其具有以官方网站为活动汇总展示平台、以新媒体传播为主要宣传方式、以公共图书馆为主要参与者等特点。该运动对我国具有如下启示:图书馆科学利用多种媒体打造宣传品牌、图书馆学会在行业内开展认可图书馆价值的庆典活动、图书馆积极发展与社会机构的友好关系、图书馆积极参与社区文化建设、图书馆不断健全适应社会变革趋势的反应机制。
In order to transform the impressions which libraries left on people, American Library Association sponsored a national campaign named "Libraries Transform Campaign". This paper introduces the goals and progress of the campaign, sums up the campaign's characteristics, in cluding, showing activities based on office website, spreading campaign through the new-media and puting public libraries as the primary objects. Chinese libraries can imitate those inspirations from the campaign, such as scientifically utilizing avariety of media to build the promotion brand, holding libraries' celebrations which can help people to realize the values of libraries, developing good relationships with social organizations, and improving the response mechanisms of the library to adapt to the trends of social changes.
