Comparing the Theme in the Movie and in the Novel——The Blessing——Re-creation of Literary Classics by the Film Screenwriter

夏衍改编的电影《祝福》因具有典型的示范意义而成为电影改编史上一部标志性的作品。然而,电影《祝福》表现的主题与小说《祝福》相比,出现了一定程度的偏颇。小说文本和电影是两种不同的艺术表现方式,改编者所秉持的再创作原则与指导思想、改编者的自我风格及其对作品的个人解读以及文学和电影表现的异同等等,都是形成文本表现和电影表现差异的主要因素。

The film Blessing adapted by Xia Yan has become a landmark in the history of the film adaptation because of the typical demonstration. However, there are many differences on a certain degree by comparing the film Blessingtheme with the novel theme. Novel text and movie are two disparate forms of artistic expression, therefore, the principle of recreation upheld by the adapters, guiding ideology, the adapter＇ s self-style, personal interpretation of works, the similarities and differences between literature and film perfor- mance are the main factors that form the difference between text interpretation and film interpretation.
