在元稹研究中,一个麻烦的问题——"元稹家族世系"——常常困扰着研究者的神经,也模糊着读者的视线。元稹一代究竟是后魏昭成皇帝多少世的后裔?读者常常搞不明白,或许情有可原;一些研究者也往往犯了糊涂,自然就难咎其责。笔者撰写这篇文章,意在辨明真相,就教贤达。

One thorny problem in the study of Yuan Zhen is his family genealogy, which has been puz- zling the researchers＇ nerve as well as blurring the readers＇ vision. What generation Yuan Zhen belongs in the family genealogy of the Zhaocheng Emperor of the Later Wei Dynasty？ While the readers are forgivable for be- ing unclear about this question, the researchers cannot be exempt from the responsibility of clarifying it. This paper is intending to find the truth.
