The Buddhist Influence on Zhang Henshui's Novel Creation

对于通俗文坛创作来说,张恨水的小说有特点,在和平年代写社会言情系列;在抗战时期创作抗战文学,并巧妙地在两者之间找到切入点和平衡点,赢得广大读者的肯定。本文从佛教影响角度来阐释作者及小说主人公身上所体现的佛教形象与思想,以及佛教与文学之间所达到的共生关系。

Zhang Henshui＇ s novels are very characteristic in the circle of popular literature creation. He wrote a series of social romance in peacetime, while wrote the war literature during the anti - Japanese war. Furthermore, he skillfully finds the entry and balance point between the two, and has won the affirmative ac- ceptance from the majority of readers. This article tries to explain the Buddhist image and thought reflected on the author and the protagonists in his novel from the perspective of Buddhist influence, and discusses the sym- biotic relationship between Buddhism and literature.
