Liu Kuiling is an outstanding 20th century Chinese painter,whose painting style,artistic value is worthy of deep analysis.The paper explores the characteristics of Liu Kuiling’s painting from four aspects:learning from ancient teachers,the innovation of teachers’teachings,the combination of East and West styles,and creation to analyze the distinctive features of the Liu School paintings.Their painting ideas and original techniques gave great inspiration to the subsequent artists.
