金文中的地名资料数量和种类丰富,金文地名处于汉语地名发展的中间阶段,在文字构形、语音形式和构词方式等方面有着明显的过渡性.与甲骨文一样,金文也有“复合地名”,其产生与部族迁徙等因素有关.
