传统艺术常常是文化的一部分，甚至是其精髓，但随着社会的急剧改变和互联网的强大冲击，有些传统艺术正慢慢消失在历史的长河中。小说《百鸟朝风》和《饥饿艺术家》在描写传统艺术在现代社会中面临的困境方面有着很大的相似之处。

Traditional arts are often parts of or even the essence of a certain culture, but with the dramatic changes of society and the tremendous impact of the Internet, some of them are gradually fading away among the river of the history. Song of the Phoenix （Xiao Jianghong, 2009） resembles Ein Hungerknstler （Franz I〈afka, 1922） in that both depict the dilemma of traditional arts in the modern age.
