中世纪三大海法之一的康索拉度海法,系地中海沿岸海事习惯的私人汇编,主题丰富、内容详实,包括裁判庭程序规定、海上善良习惯、私掠武装船只与军舰航行法令等三部分内容,全文三百三十四条,集程序法与实体法、公法与私法于一体,不仅对当时地中海国家的海事裁判具有实用价值,对后世海事立法也有着深远的影响。

As one of the three sea laws in the middle ages, Consulate of the Sea was the private compilation of maritime cos-tumes prevailing in the Mediterranean Sea. It had 334 chapters with various subjects and rich contents, including three parts, which are procedures used in the consulate courts, the beneficial customs of the sea, ordinances relating to all armed ships engaging privateering and armed naval expeditions. It was of great use to the consulate courts in the Mediterranean Sea and also has a great influence on later maritime legislation.
