The influence of undergraduate nursing students' social intelligence on their intercultural sensitivity

摘要 目的探讨本科护生社会智能对跨文化敏感度的影响。方法运用分层整群抽样法,采用中文版Throms社会智能量表和跨文化敏感度量表对衡阳市某高校353名护理专业大一、大二、大三的学生进行问卷调查。结果本科护生社会智能总均分为(3.57±0.62)分,处于较低水平。跨文化敏感度总均分为(3.41±0.87)分,处于中等偏上水平。路径分析显示,本科护生社会智能对跨文化敏感度具有积极的正向影响(β=0.621,P<0.001)。结论护理教育者可通过增强护生的社会智能,提高护生的跨文化敏感度,为进一步做好不同背景文化患者的临床护理工作奠定基础。 Objective To explore the impact of social intelligence on intercultural sensitivity ofundergraduate nursing students. Methods Using the Throms0 social intelligence scale and the interculturalsensitivity scale to investigate 353 undergraduate nursing students under the guidance of stratified cluster sampling. Results The total score of undergraduate nursing students’ social intelligence was (3.57 ±0.62)points on a lower level. The total score of intercultural sensitivity was ( 3.41 ±0. 87 ) points on the mediumlevel.The social intelligence of undergraduate nursing students has positive influence on their intercultural (β=0. 621, P 〈 0.001 ) . Conclusion Educators can enhance the social intelligence of nursing students,improve the level of nursing students' cross-cultural sensitivity, to provide a high quaity of nursing and commu-nication to patients from dierent cultural background.
