摘要 基于Craik&Lockhart的深层加工层次理论(1972)及Schmidt的注意假说(1990),试图进行一项实验,从而对比不同阅读目的和阅读任务对二语词汇附带习得的影响。以一篇石油英语为阅读材料,为受试者设计了4个不同的阅读任务和两个阅读目的。研究结果表明:受试者能够通过阅读ESP英语材料在特定的阅读目的下实现一定数量的词汇习得。 On the basis of Schmidt^ s Noticing Hypothesis (1990) and theory of Craik & Lockhart’ s Depth of Processing (1972), an experiment has been conducted for comparing the effects of different reading tasks and reading purposes on L2 Incidental Vocabulary Acquisition (IVA) through ESP reading. In the present study, regarding a petroleum English document as the reading material, the author designed two reading purposes (discourse topic VS discourse detail) and four reading tasks (reading comprehension, writing composition, gap-filling and sentence-making). The results show that through reading ESP reading material, a large quantity of words could be incidentally learned by learners after finishing certain reading tasks with certain reading purposes.
