摘要
本研究基于语法意识层级视角,通过问卷调查探究中国英语学习者语法意识各个层级的发展特征、规律及层级互动关系。研究结果显示:1)英语学习者语法意识的感知呈由弱到强的线性发展趋势,注意表现出较为平稳的发展态势,理解显现出由弱到强再逐渐减弱的倒置"U"型发展模式。2)语法意识感知和理解的发展在不同学习阶段均存在显著性差异,且均为影响英语学习者语法意识发展的主要内在因素,尤其是理解。3)英语学习者语法意识的感知、注意和理解总体上呈显著性正相关。上述结果表明,英语学习者语法意识各个层级的发展路径具有自身特殊性,理解是主导英语学习者语法意识发展的关键层级,语法意识发展是显性语法知识与隐性语法知识的动态统一。
Based on the perspective of three levels of grammatical awareness, namely perception, noticing and understanding, this study explores through questionnaires the characteristics and developmental trajectories of the Chinese English learners' three levels of grammatical awareness and their interrelationships. Results show that: 1 ) the bottom level perception displays a linear-rise developmental trend, the middle level noticing shows a stable developmental pattern, and the top level understanding demonstrates an upturned "U" shape developmental model; 2) the developments of perception and understanding are both significantly different at various learning stages, and perception and understanding are the main factors influencing the development of grammatical awareness, understanding in particu- lar; 3) in general, perception, noticing and understanding are significantly correlated. These results indicate that the characteristics and developmental trajectories of the Chinese English learners' three levels of grammatical awareness are of much difference, understanding is the key level dominating the development of grammatical awareness, and the development of grammatical awareness is a dynamic integration process of explicit and implicit grammatical knowledge.
