Objective To compare the difference in the recovery of severe craniocerebral injury between Xingnaokaiqiao acupuncture and conventional rehabilitation therapy, and to evaluate the effects of these two therapies on the recovery of sever eranioeerebral injury. Methods A total of 88 subjects with severe craniocerebral injuries (GCS score 8 points) were randomly divided into observation group (46 cases) and control group (42 cases), and neurosurgical conventional observation were provided, such as hemostasis, dehydration, cerebral protection, nutritional support and complication prevention. The control group was treated with routine rehabilitation, Xingnaokaiqiao acupuncture was additionally applied to the patients in the observation group. Then the GCS score, Fugl-Meyer (FMA) score and Barthel index (ADL score) obtained from observation group and control group were compared. Results The GCS score, FMA score and ADL score of the two groups after treatment were better than those before treatment, the GCS score, FMA score and ADL score of observation group after treatment were better than those before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P〈0.05). Conclusion Xingnaokaiqiao acupuncture combined with conventional rehabilitation therapy can more effectively promote the recovery of conscious, enhance motor function, and significantly improve the quality of life.
