Nanliujiang jade hardness test

南流江玉是主要产自广西壮族自治区玉林、北海、钦州三市的博白、合浦、浦北等区县南流江流域颜色艳丽多彩的石英质玉,矿物成分以玉髓为主。目前发现的玉髓品种里,摩氏硬度大多数在6.5~7,部分品种的南流江玉硬度要高于大多数玉髓品种,因此,研究南流江玉的硬度对其开发利用有着重要的意义。

Nanliujiang jade is mainly come from Bobai,Hepu,Pubei county and other regions in the Nanliujiang Rive,locat in Beihai, Qinzhou,the three cities of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,the surfaces of quartz jade can form all kinds of color.The main mineral composition is chalcedony.Most of the varieties of chalcedony 6.5~7 Mohs hardness,part of Nanliujiang jade hardness is higher than that of most chalcedony varieties.It is of greatimportantsignificance that study on the hardness of Nanliujiang jade,which is benefit for the Nanliujiang jade to be utilized.
