科技期刊的英语摘要在国际交流中起着至关重要的作用。国际上很多著名的数据库的收录标准是以英文摘要为收录依据的。英文摘要是展示一篇学术论文水平的窗口,英文摘要的好坏直接影响到文章的被引频次及被检索率。所以,应该加大对英语摘要的重视程度,文章主要探讨英文摘要中出现的一些问题,并且提出如何提高科技期刊英语摘要编校质量的对策,最后提出编辑和作者都应该意识到英语摘要在文章中的重要性。

English abstract of sci-tech journals plays an important role in intemational communication.Many world＇s famous databases take English abstract as the inclusion criteria.English abstract is a window to show the level of an academic paper,and the quality of English abstracts directly affects the citation and the retrieval rate of academic papers.So we need to pay more attention to English abstract.This article mainly talks about the mistakes authors made in English abstracts.Several suggestions are put forward in order to improve the quality of English abstracts.Finally,it is suggested that editors and authors should realize the importance of English abstract in the article.
