Fluid-attenuated inversion recovery vascular hyperintensity (FVH) is a common magnetic resonance imaging findings in acute ischernic stroke due to severe stenosis or occlusion of large cerebral arteries. This article reviews the applications and related research of FVH in patients with acute ischemic stroke.
