摘要
"劝服"是政治语篇中隐喻的重要功能之一,以往的大多数研究并没有深入探讨隐喻是如何实现劝服功能的。以2016年希拉里在"超级星期二"的胜选演讲词为例,借鉴Lakoff对政治语言的研究思路,运用框架理论,对该演讲中的隐喻进行了解读,以阐释隐喻如何实现劝服功能。分析表明:希拉里在演讲中将美国民主党的价值观融入隐喻表达中,可以激起美国民众潜意识中的相关认知框架和与之相符的价值观,从而达到劝服民众的目的 。
"Persuasiveness" is a significant function of metaphor in political discourse, but most of the previous studies have not discussed adequately how metaphor in political discourse can realize the function of persuasiveness. Using for reference Lakoff's research on political language and taking Hillary Clinton's super Tuesday election speech as an example, the paper explores the persuasive function of metaphor in political discourse from the perspective of frame theory. The analysis indicates that Hillary fuses the values of American Democratic Party into the metaphors in the speech, which can activate the relevant frames and corresponding values in American people's subconscious mind, thus achieving the purpose of persuading the public.
