福州三坊七巷历史街区保存着形式丰富的传统民居,其院落空间灵活多变。自形成以来深受传统哲学思想的影响,院落空间层次呈中轴对称、严谨守中的构图模式;师法自然、天人合一的自由布局风格。为现代建筑继承传统民居院落特征提供可行的途径,文章从构成要素、造型要素、视觉要素和空间序列入手分析,探寻其隐藏在院落背后的空间层次之美。

There are many traditional houses with rich and varied forms in Fuzhou three square and seven Lane Historic; District,and the courtyard space is flexible. It has been influenced by traditional philosophy since it was formed. The level of courtyard space is axial sym- metry,and its eomposition mode is rigorous and conservative ;and it learns from nature with the free layout style of harmony between man and nature. It provides a feasible way to inherit the characteristics of traditional houses. The paper analysed tire beauty of the traditional res- idential courtyard space with components, modeling elements, visual elements and space sequence in order to reveal the beauty of the space behind the eourtyard.
