摘要
双向浸润(TWI)已成为美国双语教育的最重要模式之一。该模式将少数族裔学生和母语为英语的多数族裔学生融合起来,运用两种语言提供教育,同时促进了两部分学生语言能力和学业产出的提升。双向浸润模式有其内在的理论原理作为基础,在具体实施中,通过控制学生比例、优化项目设计、注重学校环境和人员配备,以及提升教学策略等方法保证了项目的质量和效果。作为一种有效的双语教育模式,其对我国的外语教学具有较好的借鉴意义。
Two-way immersion (TWI) has become one of the most popular bilingual education models in the United States. By integrating minority students and majority students, and using two languages to provide instruction, this model promotes language skills and academic achievements of both groups. Two-way immersion model has its inherent theoretical basis. Its implementation effects are guaranteed by a series of key issues including student population, project design, school environment, stuff, as well as teaching strategies. As a kind of ideal mode of bilingual education, it provides a good reference for foreign language education in China.
