在甬外籍人士汉语使用现状调查报告

A Field Research on Chinese Proficiency of Foreigners in Ningbo City

以在宁波工作或学习(短期或长期)的母语为非汉语的外籍人士为对象,调查了他们的汉语水平和使用情况,发现多数外籍人士在学习汉语的时间上投入不多,学习兴趣集中在文化了解,但也有一些人出于职业考虑。在实际生活中,他们有时主动有时被动地使用汉语,场合多为购物和旅游,工作中反而用得不多。在汉语学习上,语速和词汇量是最大的两项影响因素。调查可为了解宁波市外籍人士汉语水平及对外汉语教学提供参考。

Oriented towards the foreigners who are working or studying in Ningbo for a long or short time, this research report is designed to figure out the actual level of their Chinese proficiency and their ability to use Chinese. It is found that most foreigners do not spend much time learning Chinese. Their main purpose for learning Chinese is to know more about the Chinese culture, although some learn Chinese with a view to sharpening their competitive edge in terms of employment. In their daily life, they use Chinese in an active or passive way sometimes. They use Chinese most frequently when shopping or traveling, but they seldom use Chinese at work. Among others, speaking speed and vocabulary are two major influencing factors in their Chinese learning. Apart from its contribution to a better understanding of the foreigners＇ actual level of Chinese proficiency, this research report is expected to provide the reference for teaching Chinese as a foreign language in Ningbo.
