Mass media is an important cause of leisure alienation which is mainly manifested in the following aspects The dependence on media accelerates the monotone of leisure mode; some sensational and shallow contents in mass media affect the elegance of leisure; the mechanical reproduction leads to the generalization of leisure words; symbols and material consumption cover the original purpose of leisure. The solutions are： to strengthen the public ＂s media literacy education and advocate diversified leisure modes; to provide healthy contents in media and try to achieve the original purpose of leisure; to reduce utilitarian consumption and pro-mote aesthetic leisure.
