On the Innovation and Inspiration of Comprehensive and Strict Governance of the Party since the 18th National Congress of CPC

十八大以来,以习近平同志为核心的党中央作出"全面从严治党"的党建战略部署,突出以"补钙壮骨"和"温史学典"严抓思想建设、以"提质严管"和"最大政绩"严抓组织建设、以"瞄准四风"和"三严三实"严抓作风建设、以"零度容忍"和"标本兼治"严抓反腐倡廉、以"权力入笼"和"管用有效"严抓制度建设,党风政风为之一新,党心民心为之一振。这些探索给予我们深刻的启示是,严兴松垮是政党执政的永恒铁律,刚柔并济是管党治党的成功之道。

Since the 18th National Congress of the CPC,the central party committee with Xi Jinping at the core has decided to administer comprehensive and strict governance of the Party,a strategy of building the Party: to enhance ideological building through learning from history and classical works; to strengthen organizational building through promoting performance,strict running and maximum achievement; to improve work style through rectifying four forms of misconduct within the Party( formalism,bureaucraticism,hedonism,and extravagance)and sticking to the six guidelines for upholding ethical integrity and ensuring competence of officials; to combat corruption and to build a clean government via zero-tolerance and addressing both the symptoms and the root causes; to fortify the building of systems by caging the power and focusing on effectiveness. The work styles of both the Party and the government have taken on a new look and the confidence of both the Party members and the people have been raised to a higher degree since all these measures mentioned above have been taken. All these attempts leave us the following inspiration: it is an invariable rule for a party to run the government that strictness leads to rise while slackness to fall; a combination of flexibility and inflexibility is the path to success in the governance of the Party.
