Internet use and its influence on the elderly:A study based on CSS(2013) questionnaire data analysis

基于CSS2013年的调查数据对中国老年人的互联网应用及影响的研究发现,中国老年人在互联网应用过程中存在接入鸿沟,高龄、收入状况差和居住在农村的老年人在接入互联网过程中存在劣势;老年人互联网的使用鸿沟并不存在,大部分老年人应用互联网浏览新闻;老年人互联网应用的产出鸿沟并不明显,互联网应用与否以及具体应用对老年人生活满意度的大多数维度影响均不显著,互联网应用与否负向影响"生活状况满意感";常规性应用和资讯类应用都负向影响老年人的"理想接近感"。

Based on the CSS （2013） questionnaire data analysis, this research concludes that there is an Internet access gap among the Chinese elderly. Old age, low income and living in the rural areas result in disadvantages in terms of Interuet access. There is no obvi- ous application gap for them ,while most of the elderly use the Internet to browse the news. The Internet use has no significant effects on most dimensions of the elderly＇s life satisfaction . Whether they use Internet or not has some negative impact on the ＂satisfaction of living conditions＂ ; conventional applications and information applications also have some negative impact on the elderly＇s ＂ideal intimate feeling. ＂
