摘要
阿伦特1929年完成的博士论文《论奥古斯丁的爱的概念》,作为她学术生涯的起点,近年来受到关注。她在博士论文中围绕着“邻人之爱何以可能”这一问题,阐释了奥古斯丁的爱的概念所隐含的两种概念化语境:“欲求”和“回返”,分别指出了邻人之爱在这两种概念语境下的矛盾。最后她指出奥古斯丁对爱的定义还包含第三重的“社会语境”,邻人之爱基于历史的共同命运和归属。显然,她的博士论文并非像某些研究者认为的那样,只是一种“非政治的”神学研究,而是她通过奥古斯丁所做的对共同体的反思。
Hannah Arendt began her scholarly career with her disserta- tion on Saint Augustine's concept of Love in 1929, which received great atten- tion in recent years. Proposed a question about how neighborly love is possi- ble in Christianity, she interpreted Augustine's notion of love as two conceptu- al contexts of " appetitus" and "return" After disclosing the conflicts of neighborly love in these two contexts, she interpreted the "social context" of his concept and illuminated that neighbor's relevant with us from historical common fate and belonging. Obviously, her dissertation is not just about a non-political theological subject, as some popular views assumed, but a re- flection on community through Augustine.
