19世纪晚期,中国的茶业由盛转衰。为了复兴华茶,以吴觉农为代表的一代茶人奋斗不懈,历经不同历史时期,在茶叶生产、对外贸易、茶学教育和茶叶科研等方面都取得了突出的成绩,推动了中国茶业的现代化进程。回顾近代茶人的事迹,有利于进一步发扬茶人精神。

Chinese tea industry experienced a turn from prosperity to decline in the late 19th century. In order to revitalize the Chinese tea industry, tea lovers made unremitting endeavor over years, among whom Mr. Wu Jue-nong was the representative character. Mr. Wu Jue-nong made great contribution to tea production, foreign trade, tea education and research and modernization of Chinese tea industry.
