The article briefly analyzes the huge restriction caused by many complicated municipal pipelines to the city extension now,and the practice situation and application range of utility tunnel in China,puts forward the necessity and rationality of carrying out the general planning of municipal pipeline,summarizes the conventional method of general planning and the treatment method of special node for municipal pipeline,and provides some common planning methods by the detailed engineering cases,which can be referred for the similar projects.
