With the development of science and technology in China, there is more demand for the development of e-government. In this context mobile communication technology begins to be used in wireless network module of e-government extranet. This paper makes a brief introduction to e-government extranet, and provides an in-depth understanding and analysis of the advantages and application status of mobile communications technology in e-government extranet.
