摘要
透过集合住宅与都市更新、美术馆、摩天高楼,乃至私人宅邸等诸多作品的引介暨分析,报道一位怀着美国梦的中华青少年在建筑领域的成长历程。作者曾参与香港中银大厦室内设计工程,因此展开了贝聿铭之研究,多年来亲访体验贝氏之作品,盼借由文字让大众了解贝氏作品的精华。兹值贝氏一百岁生辰,谨以此文呈现华裔建筑大师精彩的一生。
Through the introduction of housing and urban renewal, art museums, skyscrapers, even private residences and many other works to explore and analyze the growing process in architecture of a young Chinese with the American Dream. The author participated the interior design of the Bank of China in Hong Kong, which inspired him to begin the study of I.M. Pei.Over years of visiting and experiencing numerous Pei＇s works in person, the author hopes to let the public to understand the essence of Pei＇s works by articles. This article is attributed to pay the highest repect to Master at his 100th birthday.
