王建革环境史研究述评

A Review of Wang Jiange's Research on Environmental History

王建革汇集农学、生态学、历史学、人类学甚至哲学的视野,来思考人文与自然的互动关系。他的主要著作有《农牧生态与传统蒙古社会》《传统社会末期华北的生态与社会》《水乡生态与江南社会(9—20世纪)》《江南环境史研究》等。其中,前两部著作代表王建革初步将生态系统理论、人类生态学方法引入传统时代区域社会史研究中,探索出一条历史地理和生态社会史相结合的研究路径;后两部著作则开始尝试将水文与水利,生态与山水画、诗词以及园林相结合,探索水环境生态史的研究方法,同时系统讲述了一个自然与人文互动的生态文明发展过程。

Wang Jiange studies the interaction between human and nature from the perspective of agronomy, ecology, history, anthropology and even philosophy. His main works include Agricultural and Stock Farming Ecology and traditional Mongolian Society, Ecological Environment and Society in North China(1500-1950), Ecology of Water Towns and Jiangnan Society(9th-20 th Century), Study On the Environmental History of Jiangnan and so on. The first two books show how Wang Jiange started to apply the theory of ecological system and the method of human ecology to the study of regional social history in traditional times, and explored an approach of combining historical geography and eco-social history. In the latter two books, however, Wang Jiange try to combine hydrology and water conservancy, ecology and landscapepainting, poetry and gardens to explore how to research ecological history of water environment while illustrating the developing process of ecological civilization with interaction between nature and humanity.
