On Generation and Evolution of Eco-Marxism in the United States

产生于20世纪70年代的美国生态学马克思主义,是生态科学、美国环境状况与马克思主义理论相结合的成果,是马克思主义在美国发展的新阶段。第一次世界大战后美国经济快速发展和消费文化盛行,20世纪60年代欧洲爆发新社会运动,以及20世纪60年代末美国人口激增及能源资源危机,促成了美国生态学马克思主义的产生。考察美国生态学马克思主义的产生和演进,将为中国生态文明建设提供启示。

The American Eco-Marxism which emerged in 1970 s results from the integration of ecological science, American environmental status and the theories of Marxism, and symbolizes a new development stage of Marxism in the United States. American Eco-Marxism was born with the driving force of the following factors: the rapid economic development and prevalence of consumer culture after World War I, the outbreak of new social movements in Europe in 1960 s, and the explosion of American population and energy crisis in the late 1960 s. It is beneficial to China's ecological civilization construction to study the generation and evolution of Eco-Marxism in the United States.
