摘要
自沃尔夫林始,沿维特科尔至柯林·罗,再到埃森曼,潜伏一条从艺术史到建筑学、从德语原境到英语世界的形式分析脉络。这类分析方法与哲学、心理学、语言学、文学批评等紧密相关。经由几代学者的递进研究,它确立了自身的规则与方法论。文章力图揭示形式分析法在演变过程中的"承"与"转",论辩其优势与局限,并探讨其能否获得自治。
From Wolfflin to Wittkower,to Colin Rowe and eventually Eisenman,formal analysis finds its trajectory weaving through art history to architecture,German context to English academy.Closely tied to the fields of philosophy,psychology,linguistics and literary criticism,formal analysis has established its own principles and methodologies,in debt of the progressive work of these scholars.This essay reveals the continuity and turnings throughout the process of this evolution,arguing the tour de force and limitation of it.Autonomy of formal analysis is also discussed.
