Learning from Africa:The General Hospital of Niger Aided by China

通过对尼日尔首都尼亚美民居以及三座现代建筑的分析,结合尼日尔综合医院项目设计实践,阐述了在非洲特定环境条件下的地域性设计策略。建筑环境不仅应包含建筑所处的自然环境,也应包含当地的社会经济环境。相对低技术的建造方式保证了建筑的完成度及耐用性,使建筑对特殊环境有更强的适应性,并将当地的人文精神融入其中。

This article attempts to expound the local strategies in the special environments of Africa,by means of research on three modern buildings in the capital Niamey and the design of the General Hospital of Niger.The architectural environment comprises not only the natural environment where the building resides,but also the local economy and social impact.Therefore,the low-tech construction methods ensure the building is built with low cost,good quality and high durability.In this way,the building is not only adaptable to the local climates and environment,but also integrated with the local culture.
