建筑学的政治维度与建筑教育——从英国建筑联盟学院的意识形态与教育模式谈起

The Political Dimension of Architecture and Architectural Education:On Ideology and Methodology of the AA

探讨了中国建筑学中政治维度明显缺位的现象,重点关注建筑教育方面的讨论。在欧洲文化里,"political"这个机制的存在与发展依赖于"polis"这个空间载体,从空间营造、建筑学角度思考政治维度可直溯到"政治"这个概念的起源。在这样的影响下,中西文化中关于建筑师本位的认知也有很大的差异。最能体现这种差异性的地方则是建筑教育。以英国建筑联盟学院为例,详细分析了意识形态、教学方法、管理模式和空间组织四个方面。最终提出,建筑学可以也应当打破空间营造、图景营造的局限,积极参与甚至是促动社会机制与意识形态的改变。

This paper confronted the glaring absence of political dimension in architectural discourse in China,particularly through the discussion of architectural education.In European culture,the existence and development of the political hinges on the ＇polis＇-its spatial embodiment;discussing political dimension from the field of architecture is thus rooted in its very origin.Consequentially,the perceptions of the role of architect in the West and East are very different,particularly manifested through architectural education.The paper took Architectural Association School of Architecture as the example,examining aspects of ideology,methodology,management and spatial organisation.At the end,it argued that architecture can and should go beyond mere space building and actively participate in reshaping social mechanism and ideology.
