Interaction Between Life and Thought:Two Dimensions of Evolvement of “Filial Piety” in Traditional Society

"孝"是中国传统德性文化的核心范畴,也是中华传统美德的重要德目。自古以来,"孝"就作为确立传统社会关系、维护社会基本秩序和伦常的最重要的规范。"孝"观念的产生、发展、流变既代表了儒家道德哲学自身演化的内在逻辑,同时也是不同历史阶段的社会生活在思想和观念上的反映,是历史维度与逻辑维度双向互动的结果。因此,摒弃单一维度的理解,而从历史与逻辑的双重维度出发,探讨和揭示"孝"观念的思想内容与"孝"观念在社会生活中的具体表现之间的双向互动,是梳理和分析"孝"观念产生和演化的全新视角。

uFilial Piety＊＊ is the core category of traditional Chinese virtuous culture and an important part of the traditional Chinese virtues. Since the ancient times, “Filial Piety” has been the most im-portant norm that establishes the traditional social relations and maintains the basic social order and moralities. The origin, development and change of the concept of 4〈Filial PietyM represent both the in-ner logic of the evolution of Confucian moral philosophy and the reflection of the thoughts and con-cepts of social life at different historical stages. It is the result of two-way interaction between histori-cal dimension and logical dimension. Therefore, it is a new perspective to get rid of the single dimen-sion and explore the ideological content of filial piety and the two-way interaction between the ideolog-ical content of ^Filial Piety＊5 and the concrete expression of ^Filial Piety＊＊ in social life in order to sort out and analyze the generation and evolution of the concept of “Filial Piety” .
