Political Geography Background of Diplomatic Normalization Between United States and Cuba and China's Coping Strategies

二战后至今美古关系经历了冷冻期到融冰期的演变,这是各政治地理因素在不同时期作用的结果。研究表明:美古关系正常化(1)是美国在当前世界政治地理格局日趋多元化的背景下所做的战略调整。美古关系正常化不仅会对西半球地缘政治态势产生重要影响,而且也势必会影响到中国在拉美地区的战略布局。为了确保中国在拉美地区的地缘政治和地缘经济影响力,中国应当采取相关战略战术予以应对。

After the second world war the relationship between America and Cuba has experienced the frozen period to the melt period, which is influenced by a various factors of political geogrophy in different periods. Studies have showed that America strategy revision is based on the background of gradually diversified political geography pattern. This time U.S. firstly carrying out her Latin strategies to Cuba, aims to comfort the ＂Latin America＇ s backyard＂ and finally to contain the rising influence of China and Russia in the Latin A- merica area. By this way U. S. can realize her strategic intention. Therefore,the diplomatic normalization between U.S. and Cuba will not only make great difference to the tendency of the western hemisphere＇ s geopolitics, but also it will surly have huge influence on Chi- na＇ s Latin strategic decisions. In order to make sure China＇ s influence on geopolitics and geoeconomics in the Latin areas, finally, author put forward some strategies and tactics for the relevant departments and colleagues reference.
