2016年,内蒙古自治区文物考古研究所考古工作取得了长足发展。除主动性发掘外,在配合大遗址公园、申报世界文化遗产或配合展示方面也开展了很多工作,且很多抢救性发掘向课题研究方向转变;此外,在对外合作方面继续开展了"蒙古国境内古代游牧民族文化遗存考古调查与发掘研究"项目。

In 2016, the scientific research of archaeological discoveries of the Institute of Cuhural Relics and Archaeology, Inner Mongolia has been strengthened gradually. In addition to participating the project of State Administration of Cultural Heritage that ＂the settlement and social research of Hetao region＂ , the works such as large sites protection, the presentation and application of world cultural heritage also carried out actively under the cooperation of Institute of Cuhural Relics and Archaeology. Inner Mongolia. In order to enhance the consciousness of project, the institute has changed the mind that the archaeological project should cooperate with the rescue excavation or capital construction in recent years, and consciously carried out the relevant investigation, exploration and excavation works around the site or cemeterv, which achieved great gains already.
