摘要
基于经典语法隐喻理论,本研究通过语料库研究方法,考察了我国高级英语学习者与本族语者学位论文摘要中的语法隐喻分布情况,并对三个主要语步中的语法隐喻实例进行了语篇功能分析。研究发现,我国英语学习者具备了一定的语法隐喻使用意识,但对概念语法隐喻使用匮乏,不利于体现学术语篇的抽象性与客观性;学习者对语法隐喻的使用体现出部分语法隐喻阶段的特征,反映出搭配与语义韵误用、个别功能冗余化的问题,致使学习者语篇信息布局低效、观点立场模糊、强加态势明显。这些问题可能受到学术语类意识与母语迁移的影响。
This study,from the perspective of classic grammatical metaphor(GM),compares the distribution of GM in English thesis abstracts produced by tertiary Chinese EFL learners and native English speakers by means of corpus approach,and analyzes the discourse functions in three major moves of learners’thesis abstracts.Results showed that Chinese EFL learners significantly underused the ideational GM even though they have developed the awareness of the use of GM to a certain extent.This leads to a lack of abstractness and objectivity.It also demonstrates that Chinese learners overused faded GM,misused semantic prosody and collocation of GM,and made certain functions of GM redundant.These variations may result from a lack of academic genre awareness and L1 transfer,which may possibly lead to ineffective information organization,vague positioning and apparent imposition of stance on the readers.
