Rheumatoid arthritis, one refractory case of autoimmune disease, has owned an extraordinary attention at home and abroad. To have a good understanding of the treatment status of rheumatoid arthritis with traditional Chinese medicine therapy, we reviewed the related studies in recent years and summed up advantages of traditional Chinese medi- cine therapy applied in rheumatoid arthritis from external treatment, internal treatment and the combined internal - exter- nal therapy of TCM so as to offer valuable references for clinical application.
