In shipbuilding and shipping industry, WinGD （ original Wartsila ） marine low-speed diesel enginehas been leading the direction of technology development. Along with the development of shipping market, WinGDhave improved the electrically-controlled engine technology for the RT-flex/W-X/DF engine. This paper introducesthe new design and prospects for development of the WinGD low-speed engine.
