The Analysis of the Similarities and Differences between The Scarlet Letter and Gone with the Wind

美国的文学史上有两部特别具有研究价值的作品,一部是纳撒尼尔·霍桑的《红字》,另一部是玛格丽特·米切尔的《飘》。本文从小说的表现手法、人物性格特征所反映出来的女性主义和两部小说的现实意义这三个方面入手,解读《红字》与《飘》这两部作品的异同。

There are two excellent literary works of highly studying value in the American literature history. One is Nathaniel Hawthorne′ s The Scarlet Letter and the other is Margaret Mitchell′s Gone with the Wind. The authors analyze the similarities and differences between The Scarlet Letter and Gone with the Wind in three aspects, which are： 1）. the expression techniques of the novels;2）. the feminism which is implied in the personality feature of the characters;3）. the practical significance of the two novels.
