李长之先生的《道教徒的诗人李白及其痛苦》自首次出版至今已过去了很多年,然仍旧是李白研究领域的一本非常重要的参考书。无论是研究视角、研究方法以及行文风格都值得我们学习借鉴。从研究视角上说,李长之先生能够从"生命和生活"的角度来观照李白、透视李白,还原了一个人情味极浓的李白;从研究方法上说,该书采用多维对照的方法,将李白与其他几位诗人进行比较,并专门论述了杜甫视域中的李白,从而使李白的形象更为立体客观;同时本书语言清新飘逸、行云流水,却又词浅情深、意蕴深长。虽然由于写作年代较早,个别地方还有值得商榷之处,然而高度思想性和完美的艺术性的有机结合,仍造就了本书成为李白研究史上的经典之作。

Both the research perspectives, research methods and the writing style are well worth learning and drawing upon. From the research perspective, Mr. Li can reflect on Li Bai from the perspective of ＂life and living＂ , restoring a Li Bai full of human touch ; in terms of the research method, this book, which adopts the multi - dimensional comparison method, com- pares Li Bai with several other poets, and specifically discusses Li Bai in the eyes of Du Fu, making the image of Li Bai more stereoscopic and objective. At the same time, the language of the book is fresh and elegant, natural and smooth, but conveys deep feelings and profound implication. Since it was completed in early years, there are still some places open to question in this book. However, the organic combination of high idelological content and perfect artistic quality still make the book a classic in the history of Li Bai study.
