基于翻译本质的理论翻译学构建

Towards an Essentialist Construction of a Theoretical Translatology

本文以理论翻译学为主要研究对象,运用科学哲学的元反思方法,通过对翻译学学科发展历程、认识论基础、学科核心问题等方面的探究,力求从翻译本质出发,阐明构建理论翻译学的必要性和重要性,明确其内涵外延,勾勒其学科框架,探讨其建构方法。以此为基础,进一步指出:理论翻译学是翻译科学发展的必然产物,理论翻译学具有元学科的作用。

This article reflects on the conception and the fundamentals of Theoretical Translatology by taking the essential traits of translation as its point of departure. Drawing on the methodological principles laid down by Philosophy of Science and calling into question the legitimacy of the 'scientific approaches' adopted previously, the authors identify the problems that impede the development of Translatology as an empirical science. In tackling these problems, they propose a conceptual framework for Theoretical Translatology, stressing its necessity and significance as a meta-discipline indispensable to the future development of Translatology.
