摘要
"敕建"(或曰"敕造")一词在明清小说中时有出现,虽然它是中国封建时代的产物,但是它的翻译却牵涉到很多当代问题。文章以《西游记》《红楼梦》两部明清小说中"敕建"一词的英译为例,对现有的几种译法进行了探讨,指出其中存在的问题,进一步讨论了中国经典英译研究成果如何跨领域转化等技术问题,同时也涉及翻译中的形貌修辞、人工翻译之后的译后编辑等理论问题。
The phrase “ Chi Jian” (also known as “ Chi Zao”) is often found in classical Chinese novels of Ming and Qing dynasties. Although it originates from the Chinese feudal era, its translation involves a wide range of contemporary questions. Taking for example the translation of “ Chi Jian” in the English versions of Pilgrimage to the West and A Dream of Red Mansions, this paper provides an analysis of its several main translation versions, pointing out their merits and demerits, and then discusses technical questions such as how to apply the research findings of Chinese Classics Translation Study into other fields, and probes into theoretical questions like morphological rhetoric and Post-editing after Human Translation.
