Study on Two Dimensions of Chinese Grammatical Structure

语法结构是形式和意义的统一体,形式和意义不能分离。研究结构不能仅看到内部的形式和意义的交换关系,还要顾及外部结构之间的关系,只有如此才能确立结构之间的对立关系及各自价值,即不同结构以有差别的形式表示不同的意义。出于语法科学研究的目的,研究结构应从形式出发来发现意义,这是避免主观因素参入而取得客观结论的有效研究程序。

The grammatical structure is the unity of form and meaning. Not only vertical exchange relations between form and meaning,but also horizontal relations among structures should be considered in order to study the grammatical structure. Only in this way the opposition relations and each value of the grammatical structure can be identified. To study the grammar scientifically,it is essential to study structure meaning from form,which can avoid subjective elements and be an effective research procedure to achieve scientific conclusion.
