摘要 The study of knowledge workers is one of the most popular subfields of political economy of communication research nowadays. In Chinese media studies, labor issue is in a comparatively invisible position. Knowledge workers, according to the Chinese traditional culture, are in a quite superior social class, and therefore, they are not regarded as "workers," which has hindered the adoption of the political economic perspective to analyze the status quo of and challenges upon them.
