THE 2017 L'Oreal-UNESCO Award for Wom- en in Science ceremony took place on March 23 in Paris. The award is presented every year to five women, one from each region- Africa and the Arab States, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America, and North America - in recognition of their groundbreaking scientific achievements.
