According to the practical situation of a facility for 400-kt/a ion-exchange membrane caustic soda at a company, off-peak power plan is taken to reduce the electricity cost of ion-exchange membrane electrolyzers. Thus the aims such as stable operation of electrolysis devices, energy saving and consumption reducing are eventually realized.
