Objective: To investigate the effect of occupational exposure to lead on semen quality in male. Methods: A total of 163 patients with occupational exposure to lead were selected as exposure group. According to their working years, they were divided into group A (seniority≤10 years) and group B (seniority:〉10 years) . The control group was 150 healthy non-Normal male. The main parameters of semen samples were analyzed by SQA-V sperm quality analysis system, and the sperm morphology was evaluated by modified Papanicolaou staining. Results: Compared with the control group, the differences of sperm density, viability, forward movement rate and normal sperm morphology between the group A and the control group were statistically significant (P〈0.05) , while exposure patients in group B group had significant differences compared with the control group (P 〈0.01 ) . Conclusion: Occupational exposure to lead on the quality of male semen have a certain impact, long-term exposure may cause male reproductive system toxic effects thus leading to male infertility.
