形名配价关系的类型错配:一种认知语义学阐释

A Probe into the Type Mismatch in the Valence Relations of an Adj.+N. Combination:A Cognitive Semantic Perspective

形容词—名词配价关系中的类型错配因其成分结构间的语义不兼容而吸引了学者们的关注。从认知语义学的百科知识观出发,运用侧重—活跃区分离原理,探讨形名配价关系中类型错配的成因。研究结果表明,类型错配的生成依托于人类的认知参照能力,借认知凸显度较高的实体作为参照物激活相关语义单位,从而使形式上的类型错配在概念上获得合理阐释。

Type mismatch in an adj. ＋ n. combination has gained a lot of attention from researchers be- cause the component structures are usually found to be semantically incompatible while the meaning of the combination is perfectly coherent. Following the encyclopedic view of lexical semantics,this paper makes an analysis of the profile/active zone discrepancy in the adj. ＋ n. combinations,aiming to investigate the causes of type mismatch. It is found that the conceptual integration in a type mismatch depends on our reference point ability,a capacity to mentally access one conceived entity through another with comparatively higher cognitive salience.
