It has satisfactory performances including corrosion resistance, resistance to the effects of gas constituents, ease of installation and cost-effectiveness. It is one of the most recommended products used in the field of building materials in national long-term development planning. In this paper, we analysis and synthesis the history, current situation and development trend of polyethylene pipe. The polyethylene pipehas great application advantages and huge development space in the energy restructuring and conservation, disaster prevention and water safety. This paper has important significance to break through the bottleneck of polyethylene pipeline system security and promotes its applications.
